Durban Bagii is the weaving business of Carly Wallace- Dulguburra Yidinji woman and founder of Bama Creative Collective.

 

Durban Bagii means “carrying bags” in Carly's Yidiny language and offers handmade woven creations, including earrings, baskets, bowls, dilly bags and more. Through contemporary weaving workshops, Carly shares basic coiling and weaving techniques in a way that centres culture, creativity, conversation, connection and the joy of making something by hand.

​Interactive weaving workshops for organisations, staff events, businesses, community groups, cultural activities, RAP activities, NAIDOC Week, Reconciliation Week, youth events and Elders groups. Hands-on interactive workshop option where participants learn basic weaving techniques and leave with their own woven creation.

Handmade woven pieces that carry story, culture, colour, texture and Carly’s weaving practice.
